This Privacy Policy describes how Football Transit ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and
protects your information when you use the Football Transit mobile application (the "App").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in
accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Unofficial Status Disclaimer
Football Transit is an unofficial fan-made application. It is not affiliated, associated,
authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the official tournament organizers,
or any national football federation.
2. Information We Collect
In version 1.0, the App does not collect any personal data. In future updates, we plan to collect limited
personal data when you create an account to participate in prediction leagues or view leaderboards.
A. Personal Data
- Email Address: Collected to create and secure your user account. Authentication is
safely handled via Firebase Authentication; we do not store or have access to your account password.
- Username / Display Name: Used to identify your profile and display your rank on public
leaderboards.
B. Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect certain information when you access and use the App, including:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers,
and language settings.
- App Usage Info: Match prediction timestamps, leaderboard scores, settings preferences
(e.g., sound on/off), and screens visited.
C. Advertising & Tracking Data
We use third-party services that collect data to serve advertisements and analyze App usage:
- Google AdMob: Collects advertising identifiers (e.g., Apple's IDFA) to serve
personalized or non-personalized advertisements, subject to your App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
selection.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide and Maintain the App: Manage your user account, calculate prediction points,
and update global leaderboards.
- Improve App Experience: Save your team preferences, offline stadium schedules, and
gameplay settings.
- Serve Advertisements: Display promotional banners and interstitial ads via Google AdMob
(which can be removed by upgrading to a Pro User).
- Ensure App Security: Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or malicious
activities.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates several third-party services. These third parties may collect, store, and process your
data according to their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Authentication & Firestore (Google LLC): Used for user registration, database
storage, and secure backend operations.

5. User Control & Data Deletion
We respect your privacy rights and provide you with complete control over your data:
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS 14.5+, you can choose whether to allow the App
to track your activity across other apps and websites for personalized advertising.
- Account & Data Deletion: You can request the complete deletion of your account and
associated prediction history at any time. To do so, navigate to the Profile or
Settings screen in the App and tap Delete Account, or contact us at vptgroup9091@gmail.com.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable
information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal
information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new
Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
